Bag for Life? - exploring carrier bags across the curriculum - from the art of Huang Xu, an interactive 'lift the flap' quiz, to weaving with carrier bags, this exhibition uses many areas of the curriculum to explore the environmental impact of carrier bags, our plastic consumption, and simple and effective actions for change.

 Using Maps Across the Curriculum – Explore different map projections and how they affect our perceptions of the world. Find out about ancient ideas of the world, go beyond a Eurocentric view and see how the world looks upside down!

   

 Fair Trade Across the Curriculum – As a rapidly growing part of our lives, this exhibition examines fair trade, from our links to the lives of producers around the world through to fair trade packaging. It includes a range of new resources for all age groups highlighting how fair trade can deliver Global Citizenship.

    Islamic & Arab contribution to life in 21st century Britain - An inspiring interactive exhibition looking at the huge variety of contributions that Arab and Muslim people have made, both historically and recently, to our lives with many links to all areas of the curriculum.

 

Growing up Global: global education in the early years - based on the critically acclaimed early years resource Growing up Global, this bright and eye-catching exhibition uses artefacts, resources and activities from the pack to show a wide range of ways in which Global Citizenship can be delivered within the early years.

   Adinkra: a cross-curricular project on values & identity –
This exhibition shows how traditional Adinkra cloth printing from Ghana can be used as a starting point for an exploration of pupils’ own values and identity, while also developing their understanding of the links between Britain and Ghana. It includes examples of children’s work on collaborative class wallhangings in West Berkshire schools.

    Action for Sustainability: conserving forests in India - three fascinating case studies of active Global Citizenship in India, to combat deforestation.  This exhibition uses Sanchar puppets and other artefacts, alongside  teaching materials that demonstrate how the actions of individuals and communities have helped to protect the environment in India.

   Global Maths – Full of stimulating ideas for using books, websites, games and artefacts from around the world to look at estimation, numbers and number systems, calculations, handling data and measures, shape and space. For KS 1&2.

      China in the World: the World in China – A comprehensive and interactive look at the diversity within China, challenging some of our preconceptions, and also examining China’s contribution to the rest of the world.

    Black British History & the National Curriculum - a timeline of black British history linked to National Curriculum topics, from the Romans, the Tudors and the Victorians, through to World War 1 & 2, and using newly published teaching materials and artefacts.

   

Action for Sustainability: reusing and recycling across Africa – a new and exciting way of teaching about sustainability, and challenging some assumptions about the continent of Africa, using a diverse range of examples of innovative recycling and reusing of materials in African countries, from contemporary masks to chickens made out of carrier bags.

  

Using Artefacts Across the Curriculum  - a fascinating artefact for every curriculum area, with background information telling the story of each artefact and the artisan who made it. This exhibition indicates curriculum links and suggests ideas on how to make the most of artefacts. 


   Beyond Masks and Drumming – for those teachers who are tired of only looking at traditional and sometimes stereotypical art from the continent of Africa, this ‘one of a kind’ exhibition draws on work by local schools in Berkshire and Reading University student teachers to explore the work of key contemporary Africa artists, all of whom were chosen because of their innovative work with reclaimed materials.  With examples of children’s work inspired by the artists, and images of the artists work.
