Lavender

Lavare, the latin verb to wash, is the root of the name of this plant. The dried flowers keep their scent and essential oil which is used for washing and clensing, to aid sleep, to keep insects out of stored clothing and as a fresh fragrance in the home.

This variety is called butterfly lavender, after the shape of the flower.
