Nasturtium

This rambling plant although now common all over is from Peru. It attracts many beneficial insects into the garden and has a long flowering cycle. Its flowers and leaves are lovely in salads for their colour and delicate peppery taste.

The seed pods pickled are very much like capers and are delicous and nutritious.
