Reading is planning to apply for Fair Trade Town Status during Fair Trade fortnight in March. We are currently designing a fair trade website under www.risc.org.uk/rft. It will include for downloading the Fair Trade & Local Produce directories. It has information about what fair trade means and interactive fair trade resources for loan and sale.

Events are taking place all over Reading in schools, the University, churches, supermarkets & cafes. Fair Trade coffee worker Blanca Rosa Martinez from Nicaragua will be visiting Reading International Solidarity Centre on March 5th. At 3pm she will be in the World Shop answering questions and will join with our twin town organisation San Francisco Libre for a spectacular Nicaraguan Fiesta at 7.30pm.
