I remember wandering around a wintry Reading shortly after arriving here in early 2001, wondering whether there was anything interesting going on in my new home. After an hour or so I strayed out of the town centre, stumbled across RISC and knew that the answer was yes!

Over time I realized that here was a fabulous focal point for a network of enthusiastic, interesting and passionate people actively pursuing issues that I believed to be important. I've been frequenting RISC with increasing frequency ever since. I became a trustee in 2004. I'm also involved with the Reading Trade Justice group. I spend my days researching climate at Reading University.
