A funded, Professional Development and Curriculum day for teachers and trainee teachers of Maths at Key Stages 2 or 3
Inspiring classroom ideas and strategies that:
- Use embodied (kinaesthic) activities and ‘street maths’ to build confident learners
- Develop critical numeracy and systems thinking to help prepare children for a complex, interdependent world
- Deepen learning through P4C and enquiry based approaches
- Explore the global origins and applications of maths
- Value children’s diverse heritages
You will have an opportunity to:
- Explore innovative and engaging curriculum activities
- Plan ways to adapt the approaches for use in your own school
- Share your experiences with PiCaM partner schools through e-twinning
